Since the creation of REPSTIM, S.A. de C.V. (REPSTIM) we were clear that the quality of our services was essential in order to open our way in the National Oil and Gas industry, it is worth mentioning that we had to compete with transnational companies that had been in the market for more than 30 years.
From that moment on, we knew that it was necessary to validate our procedures before Entidad Mexicana de Acreditación A.C. (EMA) in order to guarantee our customers the quality of our products at laboratory level.
After approximately 1 year and a half, and several revisions, we have finally achieved Accreditation No: Q-1255-200 / 20 (Ref. No 18LP2855) as a Testing Laboratory for the Chemistry branch, and the scope is to perform tests in accordance with Crude Oil and residual fuel, these are tests that are used in the area of Well Stimulations. At this moment we are waiting for the Accreditation for the Construction branch, whose tests are used in the Cementation area, we consider that in the course of the following months we will be obtaining it, since the process began at the same time as the accreditation that we have obtained. Both accreditations are based on the requirements established in the NMX-EC-17025-INMC-2018 ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 standard.
To give us a better idea of the importance of these Accreditations, we had the opportunity to ask our Laboratory / Quality Supervisor Eng. Karla Magaña some questions:
– What does it mean for REPSTIM to be accredited before the Mexican Accreditation Entity as a testing and calibration laboratory for the Chemistry branch?
Being recognized as an accredited testing laboratory under the ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 standard, REPSTIM not only complies with a quality system that continuously improves its performance but also proves to be competent in conducting tests, meets the requirements that indicate the international standards applicable to our activities and is impartial in the issuance of results.
– What advantages does this accreditation generate for REPSTIM?
It improves our image with clients and the general public, since ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 assesses the competence of our laboratory in a comprehensive manner, ensures that our analysts carry out the tests in compliance with those stipulated in the procedures and is a guarantee of that the results delivered to the client with reliable.

– What is the duration of said accreditation?
Four years, with annual evaluations that verify that we continue to comply with our quality management system.
– Why is this accreditation essential in Stimulation and Cementation services in the Oil & Gas industry?
Due to the nature of the activities in the Oil & Gas industry, operations are carried out with high levels of security and that includes the technologies used, the chemical systems used must comply with requirements that do not compromise production, so these chemical systems They are evaluated under international standards and the results are used to define whether a system is viable or not.
Thanks to these accreditations, we can demonstrate to our clients the effectiveness of our products at laboratory level, meeting the requirements established by the NMX-EC-17025-INMC-2018 ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 standard. We are sure that if we continue this path, where the quality of our products and services are fundamental, we will continue to climb the steps to put REPSTIM on top in the national Oil & Gas market.
